He is despised and rejected by men
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief
and we hid, as it were, our faces from Him
he was despised, and we did not esteem Him
Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows
yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted
but He was wounded for our transgressions -- 這裡翻譯為for,直譯是from。
He was bruised for our iniquities -- 這裡的for直譯也是from
the chastisement for our peace was upon Him -- chastisement也可翻成instruction。
and by His stripes we are healed -- 直譯是with His wound we are healed by Him。
all we like sheep have gone astray
we have turned, every one has turned to his own way
and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all -- 動詞paga的意思不必非是「臨到」或「歸給」不可,還可以是「懇求」。所以這句話是否也可譯為the LORD has made entreaty with Him for the iniquity of us all,即耶和華使他為我們所有人的罪孽懇求!
He was oppressed and He was afflicted
yet He opened not His mouth
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent.
