Push for Climate Policy Change

Citizens' Climate Lobby(CCL) is a non-profit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change. They have push to introduce H.R. 763, i.e. Energy Innovation & Carbon Dividend Act to the 116th congress.

H.R. 763 imposes a fee on the producers or importers of the fuels by the greenhouse gas content. The fee rate begins at $15, increases by $10 each year. The collected fees must be deposited into a Carbon Dividend Trust Fund, and used for administrative expenses and dividend payments to U.S. citizens or lawful residents. Below is a video that mentioned this bill:

CCL do a lot of public educational works. Here is Citizens Climate Radio Ep 39 Envisioning and Communicating Climate Success:

Also, make policy changes bipartisan! Bipartisanship improves public opinion of legislators & policy presentation. Professor Celia Paris in Political Science at Loyola University taught a class:

Towards the end of above video, there is a promotion piece to motivate people to take actions: "Undo Your Part", market your ideas, motivate people to work on climate change with patriotism: "Be the change, you can do this". You can go to undoyourpart.com for more details.

Above political science lesson is taken from Citizens' Climate Lobby(CCL) website, created for educational purposes.

CCL has a local chapter in San Jose, which is called "Silicon Valley South" chapter. They meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the evening. You can join the chapter from their website.

Search internet, there is an organization that plant trees all over the globe: North America, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. We have an option to donate to them, that every dollar would plant a tree. They plant trees in California as well, where we live! We might even be able to actually join a local Plant-A-Tree Day event.
