Fetus is a human being, but not a person yet. As I said, there were debates as when to recognize it as a person, therefore should have human rights. Bible did not treat drop of fetus the same as murder of a person if you read Moses. Actually you can argue that human person begins after birth, for Job said, "The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life." Right now US laws decide a viable fetus is a person. The Bible is not a science book, and God reveal Himself to us through science too! Life began before conception, for it takes a living sperm penetrates a living ovum... There was no such knowledge for ancient Hebrew people. And we know God speak to human beings only through languages that human can understand.a_seedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15913775973150913065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3239670697731442075.post-15074644020698349902019-04-19T20:53:35.327-07:002019-04-19T20:53:35.327-07:00The discussion talked about two things: 1. existen...The discussion talked about two things: 1. existence of hell -- because this friend used it to curse PP, and because that movie describes PP as evil. I think the fact that OT didn't mention hell has good explanation from reasoning. Every culture without Christ already used hell to curse, it is not particularly Christian thing to do.

2. PP in fact have helped a lot of women, or just killed their baby and rob women of their chance to be mothers? I see the movie as a propaganda, making use of certain real situation, added conspiracy storylines to it, therefore incited hate. Maybe I should post wikipedia's PP page here? It has relatively complete history of PP and its founders.

Yes we did also talk about: 3. does women have a right to decide if they want to give birth and raise a baby as consequence of a bad relationship or outside their marriage or even a date rape? So far, US men kept trying to make/maintain hard laws and put heavy burden on women's back, but they themselves would not lift a finger to help them through their difficult life because of that unplanned baby. Men/boys almost ALWAYS be able to get away with consequences of their behavior, not so much of women. Yes, PP played a role in up against such a patriarchy system. I see it as an issue of empathy.a_seedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15913775973150913065noreply@blogger.com
