U.N. Report Warning: Impact of Climate Change

U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC) made a summary report for policymakers of all countries in September 2018. Scientists say the dire consequences of global warming are inevitable, its impacts are already visible for world's oceans & icy regions.

IPCC report this time is very straightforward, it says "The projected responses of the ocean and cryosphere to past and current human-induced greenhouse gas emissions and ongoing global warming include changes over decades to centuries, thresholds of abrupt change, and irreversibility, cannot be avoided."

The earth ocean has absorbed the heat of the rising temperature. Greenhouse effect traps heat -- the more fossil fuel burning and releasing CO2, the more heat was trapped in. While the heat is absorbed by the land and the air, 93% of the excess heat from carbon pollution in the air was absorbed by the ocean, the energy is accumulated there.

Ocean temperature controls climate of all of the earth -- the rising ocean temperature comes back to haunt us. It powers up more strong hurricanes, heavy rains, more extreme weather, and it also moves species, kills a lot of creatures in the sea.

Coral reef and ocean grass are dying, those creatures that depend on these are dramatically reducing as well, these in turn would affect the rest of creatures.

More marine heat waves from ocean which are contributed to human activity caused climate change. By the end of this century, marine heat waves will increase 25 times, all coral reefs will die.

For people live at coast line, they will see sea level rises by a few feet. The Pacific islands may disappear, people who live there will have to migrate to other area.

Update: Below is CBSN news on UN 2019 climate change report, governments are not doing nearly enough, and G20 nations emit majority of the world's greenhouse gases. Get ready for more complaints on migration crisis!
