簡直讓人無法相信--共和黨開全國大會，請一位牧師作祝福的禱告。這位黑人牧師Mark Burns滿腔熱情，不過他好像假定所有的基督徒都一定是支持這一黨似的。
Hello Republicans! I am Mark Burns from the great state of South Carolina. I am going to pray and I am going to give the benediction.（是否有些多餘？）
And you know why? Because we are electing a man in Donald Trump who believes in the name of Jesus Christ.（算了，川普大概只是相信耶穌基督在歷史上確有其人。）
And Republicans- we got to be united- because our enemy is not other Republicans- but is Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.（囉囉嗦嗦，還沒開始禱告呢，先號召面前這些政治家團結。就算民主黨是敵人，耶穌豈不是吩咐要愛仇敵？）
Father God, in the name of Jesus, Lord we are so thankful for the life of Donald Trump, we are thankful that you are guiding him, you are giving him to words, to unite this party, this country, that we together can defeat the liberal democrat party, to keep her divided and not united.（咒詛民主黨不團結？新鮮。不然就是我聽錯。）
Because we are the united States of America, and we are the conservative party under God, to defeat every attack that comes against us. Protect the life of Donald Trump, give him the words, give him the peace, give him the power and authority to be the next president of united states of America. In Jesus' name, if you believe it, shout Amen!（還算符合大會的宗旨和需要，相信神站在自己的黨派一邊。）
