降臨節期間的默想

按照長老會的降臨節日歷，這幾天默想的是腓立比書一章的幾節經文。每天在列出的經文下面，都有一段小詩，很優美，不過有點難懂。下面我試圖把今天（第一周最後一天）的詩翻譯過來。

經文：…都是照他自己所預定的美意，叫我們知道他旨意的奧祕，要照所安排的，在時機成熟的時候，使天上、地上、一切所有的都在基督裡面同歸於一。我們也在基督裡面成了神的產業；這原是那位隨著自己旨意行萬事的神所預先安排的。（一章9-11節）

我們是客人。
你是喝醉了愛的僕人，給我們滿上（杯）。
我們是白布，而你是新鮮紅葡萄酒，灑在我們上面開出血紅的花朵。
你留給我們的是生命，當我們相信自己是喝光了你的仁慈，就悲哀。
我們的學習是遲緩的，飲量是大的，
你的血太好，不能不讚，
你的奧秘超越我們的腦海。

這些日子是我們反覆乾渴的日子。
我們裡面的良善是我們的命脈，卻與最壞的東西抗衡，
我們希望我們裡面稱為罪的東西死掉。

我們是空的杯，不耐煩的客。
你是我們的僕人，而你還沒有來到。
這是你的桌，你的滿瓶紅酒。
今天是你所定的日子；現在是我們所需要的時辰。
我們手中的杯滿溢，我們狼吞虎嚥與喝醉。
求你憐憫，將我們便宜劣質的貪心酒變回為水。

禱告：無所不知的主啊，幫助我面對我那些寧願否認的軟弱和感受。讓我靠近你，認識你，按照你的憐憫來生活。

我說我不太明白，是因為詩中的酒起初似乎是主耶穌為我們甄滿的，到最後卻發現是不好的東西，求主把它變回水？是否我理解得不對...

You are the love-drunk servant who over-pour our drinks.
We are the linen and you, the fresh wine-stain bleeding,
blossoming into the weave.
Yours is the life that leaves us bereaved
when we believe we have drained you of mercy.
We are slow learners, big drinkers.
Yours is blood too good for containing.
Your mysteries exceed our full minds.

These are the days of our recurring thirst.
The goodness that's in us, our lifeblood,
contends with the worst, the death wish we call our sin.

We are emply cups, impatient guests.
You a.re our servant, and you are not here yet.
This is your table, your bottle of wine.
Today is the day you have made; now is the time of our need.
We are the gluttons and drunkards whose cups overrun.
In mercy, please turn back to water the cheap,
rotgut wine of our greed.

All-knowing Lord, help me knowing myself and face the feelings and foibles I would prefer to deny. Draw me in, let me know you more, love you, and live according to your mercy.
